Born in Bouthedi, Abdi has only experienced Tunisian top-flight action since breaking through at CS Sfaxien in 2003. He has imposed himself as a key player with his club and the worst nightmare to any attack, thanks to his speed and composure. National coach Roger Lemerre has made it clear in the past months that he prefers the young prodigy over Khaled Badra.
