An experienced defender who can play anywhere across the backline but is best suited to left-back. Started out at Adelaide City Force and had a brief spell at Belgian side Germinal Ekeren before joining NAC Breda in 1995. Vidmar left the Dutch outfit in 1997 for Scottish giants Rangers, where he played alongside international team-mate Craig Moore for five seasons. Spent a season in the English Premiership with Middlesbrough before joining Cardiff City, and returned to NAC in 2005. Vidmar has been a regular international since 1992 and is a veteran of the 1993, 1997 and 2001 play-off defeats.
